The founder of Supremes and singer Mary Wilson has passed at the age of 76
Mary Wilson, who co-founded a group, The Supremes and remained the member of that group until they split has died at the age of 76. She co-founded The Supremes as a teenager. Her publicist announced her death but the cause of death has not been confirmed yet.
The Supremes were known as several hits such as You Cant Hurry Love and Baby Love and many more .
Wilson was only 15 when she founded the group in 1959. She was an original member of the group alongside with other members.
Martin left the group and the group continued as a trio with Mary, Diana Ross and Florence Ballard and became successful. The Supremes were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.
A private funeral will be held due to Covid-19 restrictions, her family said.
