The bodies of 11 people have been found in a landslide that swept away two settlements in Sindhupalchowk, Barhabise Municipality-7 till Sunday afternoon. Another 27 are missing.
Ten houses in Bhirkharka and seven houses in Nagpuje village have been buried in the landslide that fell on Saturday night. According to District Police Deputy Superintendent Prakash Sapkota, the deceased has been identified as Bhaktimaya Shrestha 62yrs, Taxi Sherpa 98yrs, Junu BK 23yrs, Suklal BK 24yrs, Sandesh BK 8yrs, Sarkini Newar 60yrs, and Dhanlal BK 65yrs.
Likewise, the deceased have been identified as Hiramaya Newar 60yrs , Gyanimaya Pradhan 42yrs, Karna Bahadur Shrestha 25yrs, and Saraswati BK 5yrs, of Newar Tol , Nagpuje. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Sapkota, a joint team of Nepal Army, Armed Forces, and Janpath Police is continuing the rescue operation.
