Instagram will permanently ban accounts who sends abusive or any hateful messages in direct messages frequently.
If a person is found or reported for sending violating or offensive messages to others then their accounts can be deleted permanently and they wont be able to use Instagram.
Currently, if someone sends the hateful messages repeatedly that breaks the rule then they are prohibited to send any other messages for short time period.
Also the new updates are coming soon which includes that people can now turn off or mentions from anyone . Instagram announced new updates mentioning they don’t want hate or any racist abuse or any violent activities which can hurt or offend people’s sentiments.
Between July and September, Instagram has already taken action on 6.5 millions of hate speech on their platform including DMs.
The company is now working on new updates and they will be available soon.
