COVID-19 toll crosses 50,000 in Nepal
With 50,465 COVID cases till date, the cases are increasing rapidly
The first COVID case in Nepal was confirmed by the Ministry of Health and Population on 23rd January 2020. After about a month and a half when the first coronavirus case was recorded in the world.
For the earlier few months, the infections were under control. However, in the last few months, the cases have exponentially increased,
As of now, there are 50,465 confirmed cases, with 14,448 cases in isolation. 35,700 people are recovered till now, which is 70.7% of the confirmed cases.
The death rate is 0.6%, whereas the death toll is 317 with 1246 new coronavirus cases and 5 deaths in the last 24 hours.
