According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Kathmandu Valley recorded 396 new cases, with 300 infections detected in Kathmandu, 58 in Bhaktapur, and 38 in Lalitpur districts.

Nepal reported six more Covid-19 related deaths, on Tuesday to take the national toll to 306.

The Ministry of health and population confirmed 902 new infections in the last 24 hours.taking the total number of infection to 48,138

In Kathmandu Valley, 396 cases were reported in the last 24 hours, with 300 infections detected in Kathmandu,58 in Bhaktapur, and 38 in Lalitpur districts. As of Tuesday, the number of cases in the valley has reached 8,976. A total of 6,478 cases were detected after the prohibitory orders were announced on August 19 midnight.

According to the ministry, six deaths were also reported in the past 24 hours, taking the country’s Covid-19 related toll to 306.

Five men and one woman died of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours,” Dr. Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the ministry, said during a regular press briefing.

A total of 10,611 PCR tests were carried out in the past 24 hours, Gautam said.

According to the ministry, 2,287 Covid-19 patients were discharged from various hospitals in the past 24 hours.
