Mars Rover Parachute carried a secret message
mars rover parachute was built in a pattern

Mars Rover Parachute, used for the safe landing of Perseverance rover, was built such that it contained a secret pattern made by the puzzle lovers in the space team.
Engineer Ian Clark created binary code to represent “Dare Mighty Things” in the orange and white strips of the 70-foot mars rover parachute. The parachute also contained GPS coordinates for the mission’s headquarter: Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
Engineers made that pattern in order to trace the orientation of the parachute and ultimately the rover during the descent of the Perseverance rover.
